Why should you Eat Local Now? Because Local, Sustainably Grown Food…Affects Climate Change Positively

I’ve been producing a video series in support of an upcoming dinner event that promotes local, sustainable grown food within 100 miles of where I live. The nonprofit is called Eat Local Now! (yes the ! is part of the name) and I took on the social media marketing for the event, sort of a new thing for this group. They already had a Facebook page but they weren’t on Twitter or YouTube yet.

Here are the videos I have put out so far – and there will be more to come between now and the end of the month. I am addressing the Top 10 Reasons Why You Should Eat Local Now! They have a very informative handout with the entire list, but I viewed it as a video opportunity and we have found some great folks to participate. It helps educate the public, but also gives the participating farmers or organizations an opportunity to explain how they address the environmental issues we find ourselves facing today.

Here is today’s video, with Terri Glaberson of CoolMom.org. The others all have been put out in the last two weeks and are in reverse order. Wade Bennett of Rockridge Orchards was my first interview of the season and he is one of our favorite peeps. We’ve been out to the farm several times in the past 7 years and really enjoy talking to him.
