Well, back to the ol’ green-stone

It’s good to be back – a trip to New York City is an experience, not a vacation. On the flight home on New Year’s Day I contemplated my green goals for this year. I am refreshed after an otherwise relaxing holiday month and ready to put my nose to the green-stone, err, grindstone, for homeowners and buyers seeking out green real estate options in the Puget Sound area.

First up this month is A Walking Tour of High Point in West Seattle on January 12th. Not only are the homes here Certified Built Green, the entire community is Built Green as well. It’s an award winning community and you can look at my previous posts for that information! I talk about it all the time. I also moved here a few months ago to be a part of the synergy.

You can RSVP for this event by visiting the Green Spaces Real Estate meetup online. I hope to put together tours for other areas as they become available – more and more will as we go forward. It’s a green revolution! Get on board!

There are at least 5 listings currently available in High Point – a couple of resales and some new construction just completed. There will be at least one model home to tour, and if you are interested in taking a look at the resales, let me know and I will make arrangements. Click here to see the current homes for sale in High Point.

I have a special guest as a part of this tour, Amelia Dickson with Entrust Lending Group. She specializes in Energy Efficient Mortgages and if you haven’t heard of special financing and interest rates available for green homes, this is your opportunity to learn more about it.

I hope to see you at the tour, which is rain-or-shine. This is Seattle, after all, and we won’t melt!
