I for one and am all for this. I moved to a community that is very walkable but it does not have a high WalkScore because it is a little too far away from the bulk of services a person needs. My dream is to move to South Lake Union, once it is built out, then I won’t even need to own a car.

According to the National Association of Realtors’ Community Preference Survey, “Americans favor walkable, mixed-use neighborhoods, with 56 percent of respondents preferring smart growth neighborhoods over neighborhoods that require more driving between home, work and recreation.”
